Ben Mantell

Benjamin J. Mantell is an Assistant District Attorney in New York City, specializing in Organized Crime and White Collar investigation and prosecution. Most recently, he conducted Operation Touchback, resulting in the takedown of 26 members of the Gambino Organized Crime Family, including Capo Nicholas Corozzo, and three reputed Gambino Soldiers, all of whom have pleaded guilty and will do state prison time.

While living in Washington Heights, Ben served as Assistant Chair of the Health and Environment Committee on New York City Community Planning Board 12, and on the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development Neighborhood Advisory Board.
Additionally, Ben served on the New York County Democratic Committee and was petitioned to represent New York County Democrats at the 2002 Judicial Convention.
Ben was an NYPD Auxiliary Police Officer from 2000-2003, and was awarded for his uniformed service on September 11, 2001.

Ben grew up in San Diego, and received his B.A. in Political Science at Yeshiva University in New York, where he played NCAA Golf. He then graduated from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
